Day 01: Delhi - Corbett
Morning drive to Corbett & upon arrival check-in at Resort. Along the northernmost boundaries of India stretch the mighty Himalayan ranges. Nestling in the foot-hills of the Himalayas is the Corbett National Park extending over an area of 520 square kilometers. Named after the famous sportsman turned naturalist, Jim Corbett, this magnificent national park was the launch-pad for Project Tiger in 1973. The Park lies in a valley with a forested central ridge running through it. Dense stands of Sal cloak the higher ridges and mixed deciduous forests are found throughout the park which has over 110 varieties of trees, 51 species of shrubs and 33 kinds of bamboos and grasses.
